Solar Panels in Honduras

Honduras has some of the best solar resource in the region and some of the highest energy costs — which makes solar one of the fastest ways for a business or home to cut its power bill. Vorttek supplies high-efficiency monocrystalline solar panels and MPPT charge controllers for residential and commercial installations across Central America.

Paired with our inverters and deep-cycle batteries, the same panels power on-grid, off-grid and hybrid systems — so you can offset daytime consumption, store energy for the evening, or run entirely independent of the grid.

High-efficiency monocrystalline

More watts per square metre means fewer panels and less roof space for the same output.

Lower energy bills

Generate your own daytime power and cut what you draw — and pay — from the utility.

On-grid, off-grid or hybrid

Combine with Vorttek inverters and batteries for the exact system your site needs.

MPPT charge control

Our MPPT controllers extract maximum yield from the array and protect your batteries.

Which solar setup fits you?

A solar system can be built three ways depending on whether you want savings, independence, or both:

On-grid (grid-tied)
Panels offset what you would otherwise buy from the utility during the day. Lowest cost, best payback where the grid is reliable.
Off-grid
Panels plus batteries run the site with no utility connection at all. For remote sites or where the grid is absent or unusable.
Hybrid
Panels, batteries and a grid connection together — solar by day, stored energy at night, grid or generator as backup. The most resilient option.

Frequently asked questions

Can solar really lower my energy bill in Honduras?

Yes. With strong regional sun and high grid tariffs, a correctly sized system offsets a large share of daytime consumption, which is where most commercial energy cost sits.

Do I need batteries with solar panels?

Only if you want power at night or during outages. Grid-tied systems can work without batteries; off-grid and hybrid systems use Vorttek deep-cycle or LiFePO4 batteries to store daytime energy.

What is an MPPT controller and do I need one?

An MPPT (maximum power point tracking) controller optimises the voltage between the panels and the battery so you harvest the most energy and protect battery life. We supply MPPT controllers rated for our panels.

Do you supply complete solar systems?

Yes — panels, MPPT controllers, hybrid inverters and batteries from one supplier, so the components are matched and supported together across Central America.

Ready to size a solar system?

Share your energy use and roof or site details and we will help design a panel, controller and battery package that fits.
