What size UPS do I need?
Add the wattage of the equipment you must keep running and choose a UPS rated above it. Vorttek offers 600 VA to 1500 VA units; higher VA also means longer runtime for the same load.
What is the difference between a UPS and a voltage regulator?
A UPS provides battery backup so equipment keeps running during an outage; a voltage regulator conditions unstable voltage but has no battery. Many Vorttek UPS units also regulate voltage, combining both functions.
Will a UPS protect my POS and computers?
Yes. A UPS prevents the sudden power loss that corrupts data and damages hardware, and gives you time to save work or switch to a generator. It is standard protection for POS terminals, computers and networking gear.
Do I need a UPS if I have a generator?
Usually yes. A generator takes seconds to start and transfer; a UPS bridges that gap instantly so sensitive equipment never sees the interruption.
